Not gone yet

Win­ter has almost set in com­plete­ly here.  The rio­tious hues of the leaves have fad­ed and fall­en to a brown car­pet, and every­thing begins to look with­drawn, hid­ing from the frost. Water oaks

One of the things I miss the most about Flori­da are the ancient, sprawl­ing water oak trees. Dur­ing our trip down to vis­it rel­a­tives dur­ing Thanks­giv­ing, I cap­tured this view.

Web of diamonds

Walk­ing in the woods a lit­tle over a week ago, I came upon a bed of jew­els lay­ing in the grass–a spi­der’s web cradling droplets of water.

Waiting for stragglers

Mon­day morn­ing the bus for Yachad Dis­tri­b­u­tion leaves a bit ear­li­er so the work­ers can get a head start on the orders that have accu­mu­lat­ed over the week­end. Every­one looks a bit more tired than usu­al Mon­day morn­ings. It’s amaz­ing how much of a dif­fer­ence 20 min­utes can make.
